Sparks does it again. She finds herself falling for the fireman who rescued her and her son, but at the peak of their relationship he starts to pull away. This incredible story takes you on the journey of a single mother and her son with a disability to learn a language. As she is trying to escape a storm she gets in a car ride that changes the rest of her life. Not understanding why he was acting like this she breaks up with him. This story is amazing and as it takes you into a world that only Sparks could have written. This book is a great read for anyone interested in a great book that you can't put down.I would however caution parents that some parts aren't very appropriate and that this book's should probably only be held in the hands of people 13 years and up.
I love the author so much. I have all of his books and this is the one I really didn't like. I couldn't believe it at first but the more I read, the more I disliked it. not recommending this book.
I love the story.I'm a Nicholas Sparks fan and his stories are true to the heart.I work in education and this book hit home. for a mother to give up everything to stay home and fight for her child and finally finding true love.another wonderful story.I couldn't put it down.the fear of not being able to find your child and not knowing what is wrong with him, but never giving up.A very good read.
And he always has a point to make. She also finds herself hoping that she can find out the missing piece to Taylor. "The Rescue" is no different, but Nicholas Sparks decides to add some fuel to this fire. To give a crap about something or somebody else besides yourself just might have some meaning. So what separates Sparks from other contemporary authors that tell love stories. I'd be willing to say that Sparks always loves to get some good trash talking into the game, yet knowing there is the time to be serious. Always, Nicholas Sparks has something to say. But this tells of the possibility of loving somebody forever.
I can go back to reading authors like that pretty easily. What is it about his life that's none of her business, why she can't learn what haunts this man that melts her little boy's heart. You can put all your energy into one-night-stands, and even make them last for quite some time. And that's the end of the story. He proves that by finding little Kyle Holton, putting his mom, Denise at ease. He's set on getting his target shot through the heart with romance, in the midst of setting up a conflict to make it that more interesting. So, once again, Sparks allows the trash talking to say what it has to say.
When we join Taylor McAden, he's the man of the hour when it comes to saving lives. And upon thanking Taylor, Denise gets interested in this hometown hero, who seems to have no reservations about putting his life on the line when danger calls. And then he puts them back in his bag of words, and allows what matters most to ring through in the end. Can't wait for the next one.
This is great love story to read, and I recommend this book to every person out there who enjoys reading romance stories. It tells about a tragic story, a mother and son, who get into an accident at the beginning of the story. Denise, mother of Kyle who has trouble with his speech and doesn't know to much vocabulary, is found by Taylor the volunteer firefighter, after found in the woods after he headed into the woods from the broken window where he sat in his or what I would call booster seat. After he is found, Taylor meets up with Denise and the after time they start falling in love. It seems that the son enjoys Taylor's company and calls him "daddy" later in the story and Taylor realizes that he isn't he "daddy".In the story, Taylor loses Mitch, a friend, in a fire they fought in a warehouse and Mitch was the only person to not come out alive from the fire.Go out and buy this book.
